Foundation president

Member of the Institute of International Economic Policy at Collegium of World Economics at Warsaw School of Economics (SGH). He lectured i.a. at Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, ASERI in Milan and Helsinki School of Economics (CEMS). Held fellowships at University of Minnesota and International Centre of Economic Research in Turin. Longstanding member of the SGH Senate Committee on International Affairs. Expert on international economic relations, institutional economics and business ethics. Honored with the Silver Cross of Merit by the President of Poland.

PhD Candidate at SGH, graduate of optoelectronics at the Warsaw University of Technology, passionate about renewables and data analysis. Experienced consultant, analyst and developer, worked for largest companies from energy, finance, telco and retail sectors. Author of numerous publications on energy and optoelectronics

Bartlomiej Kupiec

Energy and environmental analyst

Founder and Editor-in-chief of the web portal Energystreamer. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in law at the Jagiellonian University and used to work with Ignacy Lukasiewicz Energy Policy Institute. Activist for sustainable development.

Nikodem Szewczyk

Analyst, coordinator of education projects

He holds CFA Society Poland scholarship, as well as PUEB and UW Rector’s scholarship. His interests focus on economics of inequality, crisis theory, public policy and economic sociology. Works as analyst for Institute for Structural Research and research assistant for Polish Academy of Sciences. He gained professional experience in global management consulting and innovation ecosystem. Currently studies at SGH in Warsaw and UW.

Blanka Wawrzyniak

Competition law analyst

Analuyst of Polish and European regulations. She became knowledgable in European law during her work at the Permanent Representation of Poland to the EU in Brussels. Moreover, she gained experience in the field of competition and consumer law in the Allen & Overy law firm. She studied at the University of Lodz, Vilnius University and University of Antwerp.

Damian Iwanowski

Innovation policy expert

World Bank consultant in the area of innovation and competition policy, economic regulations and impact evaluation. Graduate of the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. Previously worked for WISE Europe or as M&A analyst for EY and editor at Reuters.

Filip Lamański

Comms coordinator

Journalist, founder and editor-in-chief of Obserwator Gospodarczy platform. He specializes in aviation, transport and economic policy. He is associated with the University of Economics in Poznań. As a journalist, he is active in maintaining standards of journalistic ethics in the public space.

Krzysztof Stępień

Energy data analyst

Student in Master Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology (MEiL/PAE), who gained experience at Siemens and Transition Technologies or providing energy audit for buildings. He is responsible for data analysis and development of open source IT tools in Python.

Stanisław Stefaniak

Senior analyst - regulatory policy

PhD candidate in law at AMU in Poznań, where he obtained law degree and studied philosophy. Attorney-trainee at the Warsaw Bar Association. He advised financial institutions in regulatory and transactional matters working for leading Polish law firms.

Graduate from the University of the Arts London in journalism. He gained professional experience as an analyst at the EIT or as a freelance journalist writing for e.g. BBC News Labs, reporting on climate change. Researching on sustainable finance.

Student of Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) at the University of Oxford, and before that Inter-Faculty Studies of Mathematics and Economics (MSEM) at the University of Warsaw (UW). Gained professional experience working for a hedge fund. A laureate of the Prize of the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology, and a double laureate of Economic Knowledge Contest (OWE).
