The #CoopTech: Platform Cooperativism as the Engine of Solidary Growth report is a product of Instrat research on the new trend in technology enterpreneurship, especially visible in the European startup community. Platform cooperatives are innovations both in fields of technology and social relations, related to organizational model. Sustainable development, solidarity and openness are the values advocated by digital co-ops against the threats of Big Tech, and which are implemented with the use of experimental technologies such as blockchain and data trusts.
In this very moment, Europe is a birthplace of globally-reaching CoopTechs, and the report estimations assess the investment potential of the market to amount to 1.3 bln euro. In order to activate this engine of solidarity-based development in digital economy, all stakeholders must act. For Europe, CoopTech is an opportunity to rebuild technological sovereignty and embed new technologies in local communities and in the hands of the employees themselves.
Report presentation and debate on social responsibility of tech enterpreneurs will take place on 21.11 in the Central Technology Hub in Warsaw (PL). The event is hosted in Polish, however, the report is published bilingually (Polish and English).
The report will be accessible in both languages since 21.11 at: www.instrat.pl/cooptech
