Poland’s Mid-Term Development Strategy – Instrat’s voice in the expert debate organised by the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy

Michał Hetmański, Instrat’s CEO, participated in the expert debate organized by the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy (MFiPR) under the leadership of Minister Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz. 

The meeting focused on two strategic documents that the ministry has begun to develop:

  1. Medium-term development strategy until 2035
  2. Social Climate Plan

In the presentation “For a fair, green and digital economy: Second Lap of Poland’s Transformation” Instrat proposed five pillars of economic and social policy for the next decade, including the social aspects of the energy transition:

  1. SOCIETY – with equal opportunities for development and increasing quality of life
  2. ENERGY TRANSITION – oriented towards reducing CO2 emissions and protecting the vulnerable
  3. COMPETITIVE INDUSTRY – with the state active where it needs to be
  4. DIGITISATION – serving the economy and society
  5. STATE AND ITS CAPACITY – entrusted by the society and private sector

Instrat’s Chief Economist, dr Jakub Sawulski participated in the discussion too, together with representatives of other ministries, parliamentarians, and above all, experts from governmental and non-governmental analytical and research centers, including Forum Energii, Batory Foundation, Institute for Structural Research, Reform Institute, Institute of Environmental Protection (IOŚ-PIB), Institute of Urban and Regional Development, and universities.
