One of the five international workshops carried out within the EU-funded EFAD project (European Framework Agreement on Digitization project) is behind us. The first meeting took place in Wieliczka and was attended by social partners from Poland and Lithuania.
As a reminder, the aim of the project is to increase the knowledge of employees and employers in the field of digital transformation, familiarise them with technological innovations and promote good practices in the field of digitization of work. During the 3-day training conducted by Blanka Wawrzyniak, Instrat’s expert, and Hanna Sakowicz-Daszczyńska, the Solidarity Trade Union NSZZ trainer, the participants were discussing issues such as: automation, new employment/business models, impact of AI on the labour market, as well as topics related to work-life balance, the right to disconnect and digital hygiene.
At the end of September 2023, participants took part in interactive lectures and exchanged observations and experiences from various industries and sectors. They also discussed the role of the state in the digitization processes of the labour market and how important it is to create national strategies for building “competences of the future” among employers (retraining, education reforms).
The next workshop, for Romanian partners of the project, will take place at the end of November in Bucharest.
