Michał Hetmański, Instrat’s CEO and Co-founder, has been appointed a Visiting Senior Fellow at Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change & the Environment within The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) .

Under the leadership of Nick Robins, Professor in Practice for Sustainable Finance, the LSE is establishing the Just Transition Finance Lab to be a world-leading centre for experimentation and excellence in the 💸 financial solutions needed for a just transition to a net zero and nature positive economy. The Lab will build on five years of research, convening and engagement with partners worldwide and catalyse new solutions.

🧪 As part of the lab, Michael will be mainstreaming lessons from the just and (not always) managed energy transition in Poland’s coal regions ⚒ like Eastern Greater Poland we have partnered with almost four years ago. Instrat aims at bringing financial innovation to ensure incumbent power utilities and social partners are benefitting on the ground from the ESG and sustainable finance boom 📈
