Seasoned economist with more than 20 years of experience in energy transition, environmental protection, sustainable finance, and public policy. He worked in think tanks and consulting, including Regulatory Assistance Project (2013-18) and PwC (2021-23). Between 2088 and 2013 he served as the CEO of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, the largest Polish public financial institution tasked with financing environmental and climate transition, and previously as banker at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (2003-2008), within the Municipal and Environmental Infrastructure Team. At Instrat he leads policy work on subjects at the intersection of climate & energy transition and social aspects, in particular just transition in coal regions. He graduated in Economics at the KU Leuven, earned a PhD in Economics at the University of Warsaw.
