On Tuesday 24th October, 2023 we met with EU Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms Elisa Ferreira in Brussels to talk about the challenges faced by employees of ZE PAK Group from Eastern Greater Poland and the whole lignite sector in Poland. Michał Hetmański, Instrat’s CEO together with Ms Alicja Messerszmidt (Coal Mining Trade Union KADRA – KWB Konin) and Mr Daniel Baliński (ZE PAK) with Aleksandra Gawlikowska-Fyk (Forum Energii) introduced the topic to the EC representatives and shared their views on the EU institutions can co-shape just transition in Poland by approving the request sent by the Polish government to the DG Competition.
